If I am being honest, I’m not even sure why I watched this one.

When it came out and everyone was talking about “the twist” in the second half, Sweeney wasn’t as rancid as she is now. But it is now, and she is. I was wondering if that would affect how I felt about the film afterwards but it weirdly didn’t even register.

You see, the craziest part of this film isn’t the plot, it’s that it is beneath almost every single one of the actors in it. Yes, even Sweeney.  So much doesn’t make sense in this storyline that when everything is revealed in it, you just have to kind of laugh and say “ok?!”.

I will give it this, it was entertaining at a few points, and the “bad guy” in this was so sadistically awful in the end, that one particular comeuppance was quite earned and rewarding to see. But other than that, I probably won’t ever think about this film again unless someone brings it up.
