Is God Is, 2026 - ★★★

A classic revenge tale of two twin sisters who, at the request of their mother, go on a gritty quest for revenge against their father.
What’s cool about this one is that it was originally a stage play and the original writer/director was given the opportunity to make it into a movie. That said, this film felt way more solid when it came across on film as a play. The acting is really solid, and there are character dynamics that are given room to shine on film where they might not have so effectively on stage. So yeah, that give and take between mediums was fascinating for me. Young and Johnson carry this film but Sterling K. Brown is god damn chilling when he finally arrives. No spoilers but, it’s really something to behold.
See it in the theaters if you still can, but definitely worth your time as a stream if you can’t.
