Park Chan-Wook could literally make a movie about paint drying and he’d still somehow make it interesting and jaw-droppingly beautiful. Any of his movies are worth your time and this one is no different. Be forewarned though, this is one of the longest feeling movies of his. It clocks in at a little over 2 hours but feels like it was 2.5 to 3 hours. The pacing is slow and very deliberate. But what he does with visual narrative structure alone, makes it all more than worth it. Just come caffeinated. 😁
