Had high hopes for this one because I feel like denser multi-threaded plots in the heist movie genre are going extinct these days and I miss them. Our attention spans just are not built for these types of movies anymore. And that’s sad honestly.

Crime 101 looks really great! Previously amazing actors fill the roster, and their performances are decent throughout. Hemsworth does the oddest, almost laughable at times, American accent, but his (along with Ruffalo’s) charisma alone helps this film limp across the finish line. Honestly? It’s just a really slow film, whose plot tries to be way more complex than it has any right to be and it falls short because of this for me.
